Yesterday, Hill AFB Fire & Emergency Services Station #5 crews responded alongside North Tooele Fire District, Clean Harbors Fire Brigade, Wendover Fire Department, and Grantsville Fire Department for a structure fire in Tooele County.

The remote location and a stubborn, deep-seated roof fire presented significant logistical hurdles. However, the seamless teamwork and dedication from all responding agencies got the job done!

This response perfectly highlights the strength and vital benefits of our strong Automatic and Mutual Aid agreements.

Outstanding job by everyone involved.

The boys of Hill AFB F&ES honored those who sacrificed it all by completing "The Murph" hero WOD.

1-Mile Run
100 Pull-Ups
200 Push-Ups
300 Air Squats
1-Mile Run

And survived long enough to get a picture to commemorate it. This years picture has them sporting official PT uniforms, sorry for those hoping for sc****ly clad firefighters, maybe next time.

Let's see your post Murph photographs in the comments!

Another very busy week for Hill AFB Fire and Emergency Services.

Our crews responded to multiple structure fires, a brush fire, and a very unfortunate medical emergency.

We never take our Mutual and Automatic Aid partners for granted β€” there is strength in numbers, and we are grateful for the teamwork and support each response brings.

Yesterday we celebrated Josh Johnson on his promotion to the rank of Captain. Captain Johnson came to us just a few years ago, and assimilated quickly.

His excitement for HazMat ☠️, crew mat workπŸ₯‹ and above all positive attitude makes him a great addition to the captain core at Hill AFB F&ES.

Congratulations Captain Johnson, your work is just beginning. Lead, train, and develop those fortunate enough to be around you.

Today we said goodbye to MSgt Stewart as he completed his final shift with Hill Air Force Base Fire & Emergency Services.

Since arriving in 2022, MSgt Stewart has made a lasting impact on our department through his leadership, professionalism, and dedication to improving the mission. During his time here, he earned promotion to Master Sergeant, helped expand the Wildland Program, and played a major role in advancing F-35 egress operations and training.

His efforts and innovations have helped strengthen our department and better prepare our firefighters for the challenges ahead. More importantly, he leaves behind strong relationships and a positive influence on the crews he worked alongside every day.

Thank you for everything you have done for Hill FES. We can’t wait to see the impact you will continue to make at your next base. You will always be part of the Hill fire family. πŸš’πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Hill AFB Fire & Emergency Services has stayed busy with both public outreach and emergency responses. We were excited to recently speak with West Field High School students about what it takes to become an Air Force firefighter. Huge thanks to Battalion Chief Martinez for coordinating the event.
This past weekend, our Geographically Separated Units (Fire Station #3 & 5 crews) responded to multiple incidents, including a brush fire and a vehicle fire.
Stay safe out there.
