Hildale Branch Library Washington County Library System We are a Branch within the Washington County Library System. We provide access to information through books, computers, databases, and technology.

The Washington County Library makes readily available library materials that will meet the informational, educational, and recreational needs of all citizens of Washington County. The Hildale Branch serves the communities of Hildale, Colorado City, Centential Park, and Cane Beds and is Utah’s southernmost library.

Join us for the first children's activity of the 2026 summer reading program next Tuesday, June 2. We will have games, crafts, a scavenger hunt and some fun photo opportunities. This is also a great chance to register for the summer reading program and pick up your reading logs. All ages can earn rewards this summer just by tracking a few minutes of reading a week! All of the activities and the reading rewards program are 100% free and open to everyone!

Ready to turn an old book into a masterpiece? Join our America 250 Book Art Contest and “Unearth History” through creativity! Pick up a FREE book at your library branch and transform it by cutting, folding, painting, sculpting, or creating anything your imagination dreams up. The contest is open to ages 5–100, with prizes awarded for amazing creations!
Projects may be turned in at your library branch from May 26th to June 3rd. Judging will take place on June 4, winners will be announced on June 5, and all entries will be displayed at our library branches throughout June and July. Come make history—one book at a time!
