11/03/2021

Greetings to all in Hildale and Short Creek, our hometowns:

I am honored and humbled to be elected your City Councilman for the period 2022-2025. I want to say to all who voted for me, thank you for your support. I promise I will not let you down and will work tirelessly to advance this vision of Hildale and all of Short Creek as a healthy and prosperous place to live for all of us. I will be your representative on the Council, will always listen to your concerns and your hopes and dreams for the fulfillment of what we want to become in the future.
To those who did not vote for me, I want to emphasize that I respect your opinions and will represent you as well. I will work to earn your respect and support during this upcoming four-year period.

I want to repeat my message that every single one of you is important to our community. Your opinions matter, your lives matter, your well-being matters to the future of our town. Please know that I am always open to talk with you, hear your viewpoints and then build a consensus for the advancement of our community to the best of my abilities.

This community is my life. I love this beautiful place, its history and its people; I am excited by the progress we have made in the past four years and the possibilities the future holds for us. We still have a way to go and there is much work to be done to get to where we want to be. We have to ensure a stable water supply and address the school dropout problem that limits the prospects for our youth, among other issues. We will progress on these matters by working together. To everyone in Hildale: Think of how far we have come from a low point in our past! The future is bright! Together we can make it happen!

Sincerely,
Terrill Musser

Voting in a small town election is the most important vote you'll ever cast in your life. Your vote matters so much in a small town; it has impact. So many of us think our vote doesn't matter, but it does. I have seen many elections won by only one or two or just a handful of votes. Know that your vote matters and that you need to get registered in order to vote. It is easy and not complicated. If you don't know how to get registered, know that you have a whole team available that will help you if you reach out. I will help anybody register to vote that needs help, but I want you to know that it matters and your opinion counts.

We live in a community of freedom-loving, independent men and women who can think for themselves and have opinions worth hearing. You as an individual are important. Getting to know what's going on in your community is vital because if you know what's going on you can be a part of it, you can be a part of the change and you can be part of the solution to our challenges ahead. I want to repeat: I firmly believe that you as an individual are important, your opinion matters, your life matters to the well-being of our community. And this community means everything to me. So please vote in our city, county, state and federal elections. Make your viewpoint heard. If I am elected to your City Council, this will be my philosophy, to listen and value the participation of the citizens of Hildale and Short Creek Valley

Greetings to my fellow residents of Hildale and the Short Creek Valley.
As you know I am a candidate for the Hildale City Council in the upcoming election of November 2, and I have been giving thought to the challenges and goals that we face in the future to make our community an ever better, healthier and more prosperous place to be.

I am struck by one underlying issue that is basic to everything, and that is education. If we can improve the education levels of our population, that will be a key to fixing many other problems.

I would like to share some numbers with you, and invite you to respond with ideas about what we can do. We definitely have a problem, and we have got to get it under control and come out of this.

I am attaching the state data so you can read the numbers for yourselves. If we work together we can improve on this and get to where we want to be. We all know there are historical reasons for this education problem but the past is the past, we should look to the future. The future is bright, but we have got to be educated so we can make it happen!
