Beermiscuous Highwood, one of our valued Chamber members, is rallying around a beloved team member, and we are honored to help spread the word.

Ethan, a beertender at Beermiscuous Highwood, has been facing significant health challenges for some time. After extensive testing and treatment, his medical team has identified the cause and scheduled surgery this summer.

While this is encouraging news, it will also require Ethan to step away from work during one of the brewery's busiest seasons as he focuses on recovery.

To show their support, Beermiscuous Highwood is hosting an "Ethan-ebration" on Saturday, June 13. All tips collected throughout the day will go directly to Ethan.

Beginning at 6:00 PM, guests are invited to enjoy a community bottle share, with special guest Pizza Dom () serving up great food as part of his first of several summer pop-ups.

If you can join them, stop by, raise a glass, and help support Ethan as he prepares for surgery and recovery.

If you would like to contribute but cannot attend, donations may be sent directly to Ethan through Venmo: https://venmo.com/u/Ethan-Kocourek

The Highwood Chamber of Commerce is fortunate to have members who go beyond membership and invest in the success of our business community.

We would like to thank First Bank of Highland Park and Bank of Highwood-Fort Sheridan for their continued support of Chamber programs, events, and initiatives throughout the year. Their partnership helps make possible the educational programs, networking opportunities, and community events that bring businesses and residents together.

We are grateful for their commitment to the Chamber and to the continued growth and vitality of our community.

As we look ahead to upcoming events, we welcome conversations with businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities and deeper involvement with the Chamber. Please get in touch with the Chamber to learn more.

Looking for a way to get more involved in your community?

State Senator Julie Morrison is hosting a Volunteer Fair featuring approximately 30 organizations from throughout the area. This event is designed to connect residents with local nonprofits and community groups that are making a difference across the 29th District. This event provides an opportunity for residents to meet local organizations, learn about their missions, and discover meaningful ways to get involved.

Whether you are looking to volunteer your time, share your skills, or learn more about organizations serving our region, this is a great opportunity to make connections and support causes that matter.

We encourage community members to attend and explore the many ways they can make a positive impact close to home.

This morning, we welcomed Anna Marcolin, coach, therapist, and podcaster, to our Breakfast Before Business series, where she shared valuable insights on Leading Under Pressure.

One of the biggest takeaways? Regulation, not communication, is the real skill behind navigating difficult conversations.

A special thank you to our presenting sponsor, First Bank of Highland Park, and to everyone who joined us this morning.

Be sure to keep an eye on our event calendar for our next Breakfast Before Business in August, featuring Brooke Foley of Jayne Agency.

We look forward to seeing you there!
