Asalamo Alykum warahmatullah Dear Supporters,

JazakAllah khair for your urgent and sincere response to the roof repair emergency need as well as August’s funding needs. Alhamdulillah we were able to secure funding for both emergency needs.

The roofs are in the process of being repaired and they should be near completion in a day or two. I will share pictures and videos of each as soon as they are completed. Two career establishment projects are also in the process of being completed. Two families are being arranged respectable means of earning their living so they can come out of the cycle of extreme poverty. InshaAllah.

While those essential and emergency aid projects are running in the background, *we have come across an amazing opportunity towards purchasing a land parcel where Smile Again will establish a robust school system for the poor laborer children and a health clinic for the extremely poor.*

After having been directly in the charity work line for five years now, MashaAllah!, we have come to realize that *in order to drastically uplift the extreme poverty populations, the young must be educated, and everyone must have access to basic healthcare*.

This prospective land parcel for the School & Clinic (approx 3000 sqft) is located near the city of Arifwala, on a clean and paved road, with easy access for laborers and their children. Moreover, it is also equidistant from all the villages from where the laborer children will be attending from (pictured & video attached).

*The seller is asking for a total of $8000 for the whole parcel. This is a ONE time cost, and then we can use this land for Sadqa Jaariyah projects of School, Vocational Training, & a Health Clinic forever, InshaAllah!!*

Alhamdulillah, by the Grace of the Almighty, we have already received a generous donation of $1000 towards this purchase. All we need are generous one time donations of $1000 from eight donors, or $500 one time donations from sixteen donors and we could complete the purchase of this land as soon as possible to move on to Phase Two: start building the school rooms and the clinic area. The land is high in demand, since it is on a main access paved road located right across a Masjid. For this reason, if we are not able to secure the required funds in a timely manner, we may miss this amazing opportunity. Update: $900 raised so far, $2061 still remains for July’s Urgent needs.

Our volunteers took the elderly lady Noor Nishan for her surgical fracture repair (Alhamdulillah), also some extreme poverty zakat eligible families received their monthly stipends.

July’s Urgent Funding Need: $2961

Alhamdulillah with your generous and ongoing support, Smile Again continues to make enormous impact in people’s lives on a daily basis. One of the major programs that brings the biggest smiles is the monthly stipends for the needy families and also the weekly hot and nutritious meals distribution program.

Today, I am reaching out to you all with an urgent surgical case of Fiyaaz, a daily laborer single father of five beautiful daughters (video also attached):

He works hard in the farm and at other small laborer opportunities to earn for raising his five daughters. Like a protective and loving father, he doesn’t put the burden of earning upon any of his beautiful young daughters.

During his work, he got injured in his eye. Initially, he tried to just wash it and patch it up on his own, hoping that it would heal without requiring any medical attention.

Unfortunately, the wound has gotten infected badly and now puss is draining from his eye. He is in immense pain due to this and he is also unable to work to earn a living in this condition. He is also zakat eligible.

Please support this single hard working father towards finding relief so he can get back to working and taking care of his young daughters.

We have a few urgent medical cases (all zakat eligible individuals from families surviving below $2 per day) that require urgent funding for us to be able to help these patients who require surgeries and hospital stays:

Imam Masjid. This Baba Ji used to be an Imam at a Masjid in Lahore. In an unfortunate accident, he broke his leg. He was let go from his job and forced to return to the village. He has no children and his wife is also handicapped. His surgery and recovery needs: $482 (also zakat eligible).
