This Little Free Library was hand crafted & is maintained by Heather & Joe Peterson of Highland, IN. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book.” - Dr. Seuss

I love books/reading and at this time in their lives, so do my sons. When my oldest was just a few months old we started going for long walks all over our neighborhood and the ones surrounding us. We discovered Little Free Libraries and instantly fell in love. Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world. By the next spring when Cade was 1, I could see him get excited as we walked towards the libraries. I would find a new book for him and he would look at it as we continued our walk. I knew then that I wanted to be involved in this organization and be a part of it's mission. Our library is located on 41st Street next to the Bike Bath

Today is Give Like Dolly Day! ❤️

Dolly believed that when you’re in a position to help, you should help. She gave generously, dreamed big for children and spent her life finding ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

Today, we’re carrying that spirit forward.

📚 We invite you to by supporting children in your own community. Find your local Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program and discover how you can help put books into the homes of children where you live.

🫶 Help bring books to your community: If the Imagination Library isn’t available where you live, learn how you can help bring a local program to your community. Visit imaginationlibrary.com and select your country from the main menu to explore how to get started.

Every community has an opportunity to give a little love, lend a hand and help a child dream a little bigger.
