GOVERNOR CUOMO ENDORSES GERARD LYONS FOR ULSTER LEGISLATURE
Gerard Lyons received Governor Andrew Cuomo’s endorsement for County Legislature at a Hudson Valley campaign rally this weekend. Lyons, 30-year Lloyd resident, is running for Ulster County Legislature in District 10, covering the Towns of Lloyd and Marlborough.
“Gerard has worked hard for the middle class, fighting for good jobs and an economy that works for all of us. Gerard is a proven leader and public servant, and I am happy to endorse Gerard for Ulster County Legislature,” said Governor Cuomo.
Gerard Lyons’ agenda is focused on revitalizing Ulster County’s economy and preserving quality of life. Lyons plans to build a better Ulster County by expanding the rail trail, fighting foreclosure to keep neighborhoods intact, protecting vital public services, and controlling property taxes.
“I could not be more proud to have the endorsement of Governor Cuomo. Governor Cuomo embodies the can-do spirit we need in government. As a county legislator, I will follow Governor Cuomo’s example of leadership and work to create jobs and fight for taxpayers,” said Gerard Lyons.
Gerard Lyons has worked hard over the last 30 years to raise his family in Lloyd. Lyons has served the community as a softball coach, a cub scout master, and a volunteer at the local pantry.
“As someone who has raised a family here, I know the challenges facing working families in Ulster County. Too many of our neighbors are struggling to find work, to make ends meet and to pay their property taxes. We need common sense leadership in County government that is focused on creating good jobs,” said Gerard Lyons.
