Yuhaaviatam

Yuhaaviatam Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation has a long, shared history of mutually beneficial partnerships with the community.

Since ancient times we have expressed ourselves through a culture of giving. Today, San Manuel is able to answer the call of Yawa' (Serrano word meaning "to act on one's beliefs") through partnerships with charitable organizations. We have drawn upon our history, knowledge, expertise and cultural values to direct our philanthropic giving in our local region, as well as to Native American causes na

tionwide. We are proud of the positive impacts that our charitable giving has produced to date. And we look forward to opportunities that the future holds as we partner with outstanding groups that continue to make positive impacts - particularly those focused in the areas of Education, Health, Economic Development and Special Projects. Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation is proud to partner with the Riverside National Cemetery Memorial and Monuments Committee assisting with the construction of the first major memorial for Native American veterans at a national cemetery.

The memorial will serve as a resting place for Native Veterans but also an area with cultural significance and comfort as families and friends visit their loved ones. The memorial honors the service and sacrifice of Native American, Alaska Native, and Pacific Islander veterans throughout the United States military.

Indigenous peoples have the highest rate per capita of service in the military than any other group in the country. The statue at the memorial was created by world-renowned sculptor A. Thomas Schomberg.

Yuhaaviatam San Manuel Investment Authority (SMIA) through its affiliated entities, announced today the completion of its acquisition of The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, the landmark historic property in the heart of downtown Riverside, California.

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, a National Historic Landmark that has defined Riverside's cultural and civic identity for more than a century, has become the latest addition to the Tribe’s expanding non-gaming hospitality portfolio, reflecting their expertise and capabilities gained over the past 40 years as owners and operators of both gaming and non-gaming assets.

“The Mission Inn is more than a landmark. It is a living institution — one that has witnessed more than a century of California history and has been woven into the lives of this region’s families, including our own. We are honored to carry that legacy forward with the same dedication to maintaining its historic dignity and prominence,” said Lynn Valbuena, Chairwoman of San Manuel Investment Authority and Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation.
