I was out of the country when I received the devastating news of Desiree’s passing, and it has stayed heavy on my heart ever since. Desiree wasn’t just a supporter of my campaigns, she was the backbone of them. A true go‑getter with endless energy, she showed up with conviction, love for her community, and a commitment that inspired everyone around her.
She was a good friend, a steady presence, and someone who made even the hardest days feel possible. My heart goes out to Robin and to her beloved fur babies, who meant the world to her.
