I was out of the country when I received the devastating news of Desiree’s passing, and it has stayed heavy on my heart ever since. Desiree wasn’t just a supporter of my campaigns, she was the backbone of them. A true go‑getter with endless energy, she showed up with conviction, love for her community, and a commitment that inspired everyone around her.

She was a good friend, a steady presence, and someone who made even the hardest days feel possible. My heart goes out to Robin and to her beloved fur babies, who meant the world to her.

Thank you, Desiree, for everything you poured into our shared work. Your spirit, your laughter, and your impact will continue to live on in all of us who had the privilege of walking alongside you.
