Join us for the formal opening of the Highland Village Section of the Lewisville Lake Paddling Trail! Highland Village will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at Lakeside Community Park.

Check out the map of the 144-mile trail, with Highland Village contributing 19.69 miles. Other participating communities include Lewisville, Little Elm, The Colony, Hickory Creek, Corinth, and Denton.

Highland Village is currently in Phase 1 of Seasonal Water Conservation, effective May 1 through September 30.

Phase 1 Guidelines:
• No outdoor watering of landscaping or lawns between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• Hand watering of shrubs is permitted at any time.
• If you irrigate using a private well or lake water, please display a visible sign stating so.
• Wasteful runoff is prohibited. Hand washing vehicles is allowed as long as it does not cause runoff.

Heads-up at the FM 2499 and Marketplace Ln./Live Oak intersection. TxDOT will be working on the traffic signal on Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17. Crews are replacing the control cabinet, adding the northbound and southbound yellow flashing yield arrow, and replacing the detection. Expect lane closures and use caution in the area.
