Rental assistance due is now available. The COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Phase II Enrollment Opened March 22, 2021.

The program provides temporary rental assistance to low- and moderate-income households affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Once assistance is approved and you, as the property owner, provide the required documents, DCA will make payments directly to you.

Tenants may be eligible for up to 12 months of assistance

CDC’s op-ed published in The Journal of the American Medical Association discussing “Data and Policy to Guide Opening Schools Safely to Limit the Spread of SARS-CoV-2 Infection”

“The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected K-12 schools across the US. Accumulating data suggests a path forward to maintain or return primarily or fully to in-person instructional delivery. Actions include taking steps to reduce community transmission and limiting school-related activities such as indoor sports practice or competition that could increase transmission risk.”

“Decisions made today can help ensure safe operation of schools and provide critical services to children and adolescents in the US. Some of these decisions may be difficult. They include a commitment to implement community-based policies that reduce transmission when SARS-CoV-2 incidence is high and school-based policies to postpone school-related activities that can increase risk of in-school transmission.”

Middlesex County has announced opening new COVID-19 vaccination sites. The sites will be open based on vaccine supply to the county, sites, and area. Residents will be eligible for vaccination based on the state’s phased approach according to county officials. January 14th NJ expanded COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to an estimated 4 million residents. Populations now include individuals age 65 years and older, those between the ages of 16 and 64 with certain chronic medical conditions including cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Down syndrome, heart failure, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, obesity, sickle cell disease, and diabetes as well as smokers.

New Jersey has administered 310k vaccine doses. The state is currently receiving over 100k doses per week. and encourage patience as the distribution plan continues to expand.
