January 14th NJ expanded COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to an estimated 4 million residents. Populations now include individuals age 65 years and older, those between the ages of 16 and 64 with certain chronic medical conditions including cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Down syndrome, heart failure, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, obesity, sickle cell disease, and diabetes as well as smokers.
New Jersey has administered 310k vaccine doses. The state is currently receiving over 100k doses per week. and encourage patience as the distribution plan continues to expand.
