Today we conducted joint training with the North Randall Fire Department. Chief Grossenbaugh led a review of relay pumping operations (supplying water from one engine to another), friction loss, and double tapping a fire hydrant to increase water supply.
Following training, crews took time to share a meal together, strengthening interdepartmental relationships and teamwork.

In honor of Black History Month:
Patrick H. Raymond served as Chief Engineer of the Cambridge, Massachusetts Fire Department from 1871 to 1879, making him the first known Black Fire Chief in the United States. His leadership paved the way for future generations of firefighters and fire service leaders across the nation.
