Summer Reading 2026 is here, and Campbell County Public Library’s new theme is Summer of Stories. From June 1 to July 26, the library has a full list of fun programs, crafts and performances for you to explore and weave into your perfect summer story! Take part in the Summer Reading Challenge and the Checkout Challenge to win cool prizes for adults, teens and children all summer long. You can also tag along for local Campbell County park adventures, including Tower Tuesdays, Jolly Thursdays and the Book Bus Tour. Make your summer story one for the books!

‼️NEWS ALERT‼️The city is excited to announce the last step of Phase I of the greenspace improvement project at the city building campus is officially under construction. Prus Construction will be working on the site over the next several months to add more fun amenities to the area that we know the community will enjoy! Additions include a hillside slide, picnic area, bocce ball court, and more! Unfortunately, the pickleball courts and sections of sidewalk will be closed during certain periods of the construction process, so please adhere to the signage that is posted.

While the lake and campground are closed for renovations, you can still take advantage of:

Campbell County is partnering with Boone and Kenton Counties to host a pop-up Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, April 11th at Frederick’s Landing in Wilder.

Residents can drop off hard-to-dispose-of household items such as aerosol cans and electronics. Please note that paint will not be accepted at this event
