The rain could not stop our America 250 Family Fun Day, which took place immediately following Mayor Brunello's Bike-With-a-Mayor bike ride on Saturday, September 12th. Families arrived in raincoats and rain boots to enjoy a visit from Chomps, the Cleveland Browns’ furry mascot; balloon creations from Swifty the Clown, face painting, a bounce house, games, children’s crafts, and free hamburgers and hot dogs. Patriotic goody bags awaited our youngest visitors, and despite the wet conditions, everyone seemed to have a good time.

Many thanks to all of the families that came out to celebrate with us! 🇺🇸

We have had a very busy few days at City Hall!!

Thank you to everyone who participated in Mayor Brunello’s 3rd Annual Bike-With-a-Mayor bicycle ride on Saturday, September 12th!

We had a nice turnout of riders and almost completed the full ride before the rain started.

We would like to express our gratitude to Chris Ronayne, Cuyahoga County Executive, for joining us on Saturday!

Join Mayor Brunello for his 3rd Annual Bike-With-a-Mayor this Saturday, September 12th at 10:00 a.m.

We will meet at City Hall and take a 7-mile bike ride throughout our community. The ride is intended for experienced cyclists as this is a lengthier ride. Grab your bike helmets and let's explore our beautiful community together on two wheels!

It's almost here! 🇺🇸

The City of Highland Heights America 250 Family Fun Day is this Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Highland Heights Gazebo.

Let's have some fun! There will be a kids crafts, frozen treats, bounce house, music, games, balloon twister, face painter, and don't forget to check out America's Story at each of the fun facts stations. You just might learn something new!

Our Safety Services Night takes place tomorrow night, Thursday, September 10th, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Highland Heights Community Park.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program - September 14th through September 26th!

Acceptable items are as follows:

Adhesives, roof tar, driveway sealer
Antifreeze
Automotive fluids, motor oil
Household cleaners
Kerosene, gasoline, lighter fluid
Oil or solvent based paint, sealers, primers, or coatings (NO LATEX PAINT)
Paint thinner, mineral spirits, turpentine
Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides
Varnishes, polyurethane, shellacs

Latex paint, batteries and flourescent bulbs are NOT accepted in this program. Propane tanks, fire extinguishers, and helium or oxygen tanks can be recycled at local retail locations or scrap metal yards.
