**NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING**

There will be a public hearing on June 15, 2026 at 4:00 pm at the Senior Center. The public hearing is being held by the Orange County Industrial Development Agency. The applicant is South Gates Flats, LTD and the property is located at 479 Main Street, Highland Falls. The Agency will hear all persons with views in favor of opposed to providing financial assistance to the applicant. See details below.

Ponytail 🥎Softball🥎 Update‼️

Unfortunately, an incident occurred during yesterday’s Ponytail Softball game that resulted in a coach removing his team from the field and ending the game before it truly got underway.

First and foremost, we stand behind our umpires and volunteer coaches. While we understand that emotions can run high during games, there are certain behaviors that will not be tolerated or accepted—especially when children are involved.

We are aware that rumors have been circulating that the softball season has been canceled. We want to assure everyone that this is not true.

In an effort to turn a negative situation into a positive experience for the girls, we will be transitioning the remaining games into a “sandlot-style” format. Any player who would like to participate is encouraged to come to the field, where teams will be divided up on the spot for fun, pickup-style games.

Additional information regarding specific dates, times, and locations will be sent via email tomorrow. Please be on the lookout for those details.

As always, we appreciate everyone’s flexibility, understanding, and continued support. We look forward to finishing the season on a positive note and providing a fun experience for all of our players.
