Yesterday T.W.A.O took to the streets of High Bridge to spread some Christmas cheer. Despite only have one group of carolers this year, we raised close to $150. All of the profits will be going to the Open Cupboard Food Pantry. A huge thanks to all who donated! An even bigger thank you to our volunteers that didn't let some crappy weather stop them form helping others. Fantastic job everybody and have a Merry Christmas.

Throw back Thursday to some events not so long ago. The top picture is from our most recent bake sale. Sales from this event to The Sacred Heart School. The money will be used to help pay for a student's education. The pictures on the bottom are from a food drive in early November. T.W.A.O helped collect over 4,500 pounds of food. Great job guys!!!

Last Saturday T.W.A.O volunteers spent their night helping to run the High Bridge Tree Lighting. Despite terrible conditions the event was a huge success. Our president Nicholas Raefski was given the honor to light the tree. It was a truly a great night. Stay tune for more opportunities!

For all of us at T.W.A.O this is a sad day. It is a day of mourning for a friend that was taken from this world too soon. As difficult as this day is, I cannot help but smile. I smile because although Conor is no longer physically with us, his spirit and words live on and inspire many. He inspired me and my friends to create a non-profit, and help others. Conor helped me see that volunteering is not about getting service hours for college, volunteering is about something more. Volunteering is giving of yourself freely without asking anything in return. His simple question has had such an impact not only on me; but on the more than eighty five volunteers at the VHS branch alone that have donated more than 1,300 hours of their time to help others. Conor has had such a positive influence on my life, and those around me that I cannot help but smile today. Thank you Conor for all you have done for me. I hope you are smiling up there bud, we all miss you.
-With Love,
Nicholas Raefski and the T.W.A.O Board of Directors

We are pleased to announce that T.W.A.O will be opening a branch up at Ridge High School! Congratulations to both Cameron Shadpoor and Michael Mastrangelo for being selected as the President and V.P of the Ridge Branch. Cameron is currently a junior at Ridge High School. A competitive fencer Cameron also takes part in his school's ping pong club and ultimate Frisbee team. When asked where he sees the Ridge Branch going he responds with extreme optimism, "I have high expectations for this chapter and hope that our school will excel in all aspects of it (volunteering). Michael and I are hoping to spend large amounts of time in order to achieve our goals of making our chapter great." Michael Mastrangelo is not only an excellent volunteer as demonstrated by his various community services such as serving as a youth hockey coach, but also a great leader. As vice president for T.W.A.O Ridge he is, "extremely exited for the opportunity to open a branch in Basking Ridge." Congratulations boys, we look forward to all the amazing work you two will do!

Congratulations to Aadil Rizwan! Aadil has been approved to create his own branch of T.W.A.O at North Brunswick Township High School. Aadil is described by his fellow peers as, "A well rounded and charismatic individual, with a passion to help others." The decision to approve Aadil was quit simple, due to his countless academic achievements and impressive extra curricular activities. Besides boasting an extremely impressive resume; Aadil is also the founder of ArkSoles a shoe business in North Brunswick. We here are at T.W.A.O Hunterdon County are extremly excited to be working with such a terrific individual. Congrats Aadil on your selection as the first president of the North Brunswick T.W.A.O branch. We are excited to see the work you will do!!!!

Another great weekend volunteering in Hunterdon county! Yesterday T.W.A.O took their talents down to the North Branch library, to organize and sort books. Although not the most exciting event, our contributions were definitely felt. Today volunteers ventured into High Bridge to clean up the streets. Despite the heat and humidity, T.W.A.O volunteers were able to get some great work done. Big thanks to the The Harvest Cafe, for some awesome liquid refreshments! We look forward to next weekend, and another great opportunity.

We are sadden at the death of beloved comedian Robin Williams. To quote famed New Jerseyan Gerard Way; "Su***de is a serious thing. And if you know anyone who is suicidal, you need to get them help. No one should be in pain. Everyone should love themselves." Being a non-profit founded in the aftermath that su***de creates, we would like to remind all of you that there is always help. Thank you for your time.
