We are here at the Lexington Missouri VFW Post 4052 located at 3109 Franklin offering information and free items until 2:00 pm. Come on out and see what is being offered! Multiple tables and booths filled with helpful info and people.

he Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville is once again asking for anyone with a few minutes of free time to spare to come and honor a veteran that has passed with no known family. We would like to have a few folks come show support and act as interim "family and friends" for Richard Powell Jr, an Air Force veteran from the Vietnam era. The service is scheduled for Thursday, August 20th at 1:00PM. Thank you in advance if you are able to attend.

The ladies at the VFW Post 1000 Auxiliary graciously donated several hundred flags for use in our annual Memorial Day ceremony for decorating each veteran's grave. These will be a welcome addition to our supply, which has a continued need for support as our numbers grow with each passing year. Thank you again ladies, you are the best!!

Our annual Memorial Day Ceremony honoring our fallen veterans will be held on Monday, May 25th beginning at 9:00 am. Please plan accordingly as parking will fill in quickly, so a slightly earlier arrival would be recommended. Also, please bring a lawn chair if you are not wanting to stand, as we have limited seating available for folks with disabilities. Also, an umbrella might be needed as the current forecast shows a chance of rain the morning hours.
