🩷💙💛 Kindness has been taking over HKIMS this September!

Our September Kindness Board gives all students an opportunity to spread kindness throughout their school community. Students simply grab a Random Act of Kindness card, and complete the act. The cards encourage students to spread kindness to other students, teachers and staff members. Each week, participating students will have a chance to win a Higgies gift card, with a grand prize winner selected at the end of the month.

📣💗A huge thank you to Russ Pelletier, owner of Higgies, for generously donating the gift cards and supporting our efforts to make kindness a focus in our schools.

This is part of our Su***de Prevention Month Initiatives to not only raise awareness, provide supports, but to grow opportunities for kindness and hope.

Throughout the month of September, you’ll see signs designed by our local youth displayed throughout the community in recognition of National Su***de Prevention Month. Together, we are raising awareness, spreading hope, and reminding everyone that you are never alone.

By displaying a sign in your yard, you can help share this important message and show that our community stands together in support of su***de prevention, mental health awareness, and hope.

Signs are available at no cost to community members. Those who would like to support our efforts are welcome to make an optional donation to the Ignite Su***de Prevention Scholarship, which supports a graduating HK student.

Please order your yard sign here: https://pci.jotform.com/form/262434535804154

📣HKYFS is excited to share the launch of our new Job Bank. This program is a result of both teens and community members looking to be connected for jobs around the HK community.

The Job Bank is a referral service that connects community members who need help with everyday tasks to local teens looking for work or community service opportunities. These jobs are often temporary and part-time.

💙To learn more about the program please visit our website: www.hkyfs.org/job-bank/

The hummingbird is a powerful symbol of joy, resilience, adaptability, and connection, making it a meaningful reminder of hope, strength, and the impact one life can have on others.

Throughout Su***de Prevention Month, Hummingbirds for Hope keychains are available for $10, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Ignite Su***de Prevention Scholarship, which will be awarded to a graduating HK student this spring.

Each keychain is more than a symbol. It is a way to carry hope with you, honor those impacted by su***de, and support a local student as they take their next steps beyond high school.
