Haddam Lions Club

Haddam Lions Club Haddam Lions is a Community Service organization under the Umbrella of Lions Clubs International.

The Haddam Lions Club sponsors community events and provide scholarships to local students along with our mission to help the blind. Events include, Christmas Tree sales in Higganum Center, Rollin on the River Car Show at the Meadows in July, Kites for Kidneys, The Cancer Walk, Hoedown at HES and much much more. All donations after expenses are donated back to our local community so it will grow.

We have been receiving text and emails since the story broke about the Facebook post by a town resident. Haddam Lions would like to clarify that this person has not been an active member for the past two years. We would like to state that our club stands by the Lions Club International code of conduct as well as our constitution and bylaws and this kind of behavior has no place in our organization. We have been honored to be a vital part of this community for the past 70 years and look forward to serving the needs of our community for 70+ more.

I would like to thank the Haddam Lions Club for nominating me as Humanitarian Of The Year. I am humbled. YOU are the true humanitarians. Thank you for all you do for everyone and our community. Lions do so much more than the great vision work for which they are most commonly known. You can check out more about them on the web. Please be sure to support activities sponsored by this great group as funds raised truly do go back into our community and to those less fortunate. Thank you Lion Mark and your lovely wife Jeanette for escorting me to the wonderful and inspiring luncheon at St Clements Castle.
