Today, the Hidalgo Police Department had the honor of participating in Career Day at Salinas Elementary School. We would like to extend a huge thank you to the students, teachers, and staff for the warm welcome and hospitality.

Our officers enjoyed speaking with the students about law enforcement, public service, and the importance of working hard to achieve their future goals. It was a great experience interacting with such bright and enthusiastic young leaders.

Today, the Hidalgo Police Department’s Crime Victim Liaison, Suheil Robledo, joined forces with Sullivan City PD, La Joya PD, Mission PD, Donna PD, and the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office Crime Victims Liaison to collaborate on ways to better support and advocate for victims in our communities.

Through open discussion and shared ideas, this partnership continues to strengthen our commitment to providing resources, raising awareness, and ensuring victims receive the assistance they deserve. Working together, we can make a meaningful difference.

Today, we had a great time connecting with our community at the Starbucks on Jackson Street in Hidalgo! ☕👮‍♂️

Serving your favorite drinks turned out to be a little more challenging than we expected—but we learned quickly and had a lot of fun along the way.

We would like to extend a big thank you to all the Starbucks employees for their guidance and support, and to our officers who participated in making this event such a success.

Events like these help us build stronger relationships with the community we proudly serve. We appreciate everyone who stopped by to say hello!

🚔 Welcome Our New Officers! 🚔

The Hidalgo Police Department proudly swore in 10 new police officers to serve and protect our community. Today marks the beginning of their commitment to keeping our city safe, and we are excited to have them join our team.

In the books — Borderfest 2026! 🎉

We would like to thank our amazing Hidalgo community and our elected officials for making this such an awesome event. It’s always great to see everyone come together to celebrate and support one another.

A big thank you as well to all of the police officers and Hidalgo Police Law Enforcement Cadets who worked throughout the 4-day event. Your dedication and service helped make the festival safe and enjoyable for everyone.

We had a lot of fun interacting with the community, and some of our officers were even challenged by kids to ride a few carnival rides with them — and of course, they couldn’t say no! 🎡😄

Thank you to everyone who came out and made Borderfest 2026 a great success. We’re already looking forward to next year!

🚓🪁 Community Connection at Salinas Elementary!

The Hidalgo Police Department had the privilege of spending time with the amazing students at Dr. Salinas Elementary today! Our officers enjoyed interacting with the kids, flying kites, and sharing plenty of smiles and laughter throughout the day.

Events like these are a wonderful reminder of the strong partnership between our department and the community we proudly serve. Thank you to the staff and students at Salinas Elementary for welcoming us and making it such a fun and memorable visit! 💙 Thanks to Sgt. Farias and Officer J. Garcia for participating
