I’ll fight every single day to make sure the next generation isn’t left with a state that is financially broken, overtaxed, and simply too expensive to raise a family.

We can restore affordability, strengthen our communities, and build a New York where our children can grow up, build a life, and choose to stay.

That’s the future worth fighting for. 🇺🇸

Erin Piacenti was just 32 years old. She was walking through Times Square when she was senselessly and randomly stabbed to death.

She should be alive today.

New Yorkers have a right to feel safe walking down the street, taking the subway, going to work, bringing their families into the city, or simply living their lives in our public spaces.

That should not be controversial. It should be the most basic responsibility of government.

We cannot become numb to stories like this. We cannot shrug our shoulders and accept random violence as an unavoidable part of life in New York. And we cannot continue treating public safety as a secondary issue or a political talking point.

Supporting law enforcement matters. Getting seriously mentally ill people who pose a danger to themselves or others the treatment they need matters. Holding violent offenders accountable matters. Above all, protecting innocent people matters.

There is nothing compassionate about allowing dangerous situations to deteriorate until an innocent person is killed.

My heart goes out to Erin’s family and loved ones. They deserved more time with her, and she deserved to come home safely.

Every New Yorker deserves that same basic promise: you should be able to walk through your community without fearing that a random act of violence will take your life.

We have to demand better.

The Propel NY project continues to set off serious alarm bells. The Hochul-Lavine team ignore the legitimate concerns of residents and significant quality of life impact the project would have.

An EPA official says significant work needed to address environmental concerns before Propel NY Energy cable project can proceed.
