As we enter the warmest time of year, the Hicksville Water District would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff for their incredible work repairing water main breaks all year round, especially during the winter when main breaks are most common.

Our community saw historic snowfall and below-freezing temperatures this past winter, but our dedicated crews were always prepared to leap into action at a moment’s notice. From December of 2025 through February of 2026, our staff repaired 35 main breaks at all different times of day regardless of temperature or weather conditions.

Our staff plays a huge role in the HWD’s ability to provide the high-quality water service that our residents deserve and we thank them for the hard work and dedication that they put in every single day.
