PLANNING TO JOIN US FOR FALL CLEAN-UP?
The inaugural Fall Hibbing Community Clean-Up Days are just a few days away! A little preparation before you arrive will help keep things moving smoothly.

BEFORE YOU LOAD UP …
✅ Check the accepted materials list before loading your vehicle or trailer.
🪪 Bring proof of Hibbing residency. Free drop-off is for Hibbing residents only; non-residents will be charged.
🚪 Remove refrigerator and freezer doors before bringing appliances.
🛏️ Keep mattresses dry — waterlogged mattresses cannot be accepted.
🚫 Leave prohibited materials at home, including paint, oil, batteries, fire extinguishers, light bulbs, hazardous waste and propane tanks.
🗺️ Review our new site map and traffic flow before you arrive.
🚙 Bringing several types of materials? Load with unloading in mind! Keeping materials accessible will make each stop quicker and easier.

NEW LOCATION = Take a look before Clean-Up Days (it's just one week away)!

Our Fall Hibbing Community Clean-Up Days are moving to the Hibbing Recycling Center, 1570 E. Howard St. — and we want residents to know what to expect before you arrive.

The new location will have a designated traffic route with separate drop-off areas for the different materials being collected. Following the marked route and directions from staff will help us keep vehicles moving safely and efficiently throughout the event.

A little planning before you load up can help, too!

If you're bringing several types of materials, take a look at the map and consider how you load your vehicle or trailer so items are reasonably accessible as you move through the different disposal areas. That can mean less digging, rearranging and waiting once you're on site.

📍 Hibbing Recycling Center | 1570 E. Howard St. (enter off Hwy 169)
♻️ FREE for Hibbing residents only

🏁 LABOR DAY SHOOTOUT | KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
The Labor Day Shootout returns to Hibbing Speedway Sept. 5 & 6, and we’re looking forward to welcoming racers, crews and race fans back to Hibbing for another big weekend!

With plenty of visitors expected in the Speedway area — including those making a weekend of it — we want to make sure everyone knows the rules before setting up camp or settling in for the festivities.

🚗 OVERFLOW PARKING
Need another place to park? Overflow parking is available at Vic Power Park, 2159 25th St. E.

🔥 NO FIRES
No fires of any kind are permitted — including above-ground fire pits. Please plan accordingly if you're camping for the weekend.

⛺ CAMPING
Camping is permitted only in the designated camping areas near Hibbing Speedway and at Vic Power Park, shown as A, B and C on the accompanying map.
Vehicles may be parked on City and college grounds, but campers and camping are not permitted in those areas. Campers found outside the designated camping areas are subject to towing at the owner's expense.

If you're drinking, make your transportation plan before the green flag drops. Designate a sober driver, arrange for a ride or use another safe transportation option. Please don't drink and drive.

We want everyone to enjoy the Labor Day Shootout, have a great weekend in Hibbing and make it home safely.

Elderly female with memory issues and confusion. Diane has been missing since an unknown time this morning from her residence in Hibbing. Please call 911 if you have any information or have located Diane.

Clean out the garage. Tackle that project you’ve been putting off. Help a neighbor who may not have a truck or trailer. Check in with a senior resident who could use an extra set of hands. And let’s continue addressing blight and beautifying our neighborhoods together.

This isn’t just about getting rid of stuff ... it’s about taking pride in the place we call home.
