Celebrating the submarine community this month in observance of coming up on April 11.

Since is on April 11, we've decided to make April our unofficial . This is a by Georges Schreiber titled, "Conning Tower, USS Mackerel" is our chosen piece of for this .

There is no surcease in the vigilance aboard a submarine. Vulnerable to depth charges and bombs, eternally a "lone wolf" on a mission, the submarine must be ready to crash-dive at an instant's notice. The skipper and executive of "old 204" augment the regular lookouts on the conning tower between submerging.

Let us proudly recognize and honor our unsung heroes—the resilient children of our Navy families.

We honor the military child, teen and young adult, to recognize and celebrate their service, commitment, and sacrifice in support of the mission.

Share your sentiment and honor or celebrate the military child, or children, that have endured in honor of their parent or parents’ service.

April’s Month of the Military Child is a powerful reminder of the resilience, adaptability, and quiet strength our Navy children demonstrate every day. Ombudsmen and Navy families play a critical role in creating stability and connection, ensuring these children feel seen, supported, and celebrated through every transition. Together, we honor their sacrifices and reaffirm our commitment to standing beside them with pride, encouragement, and unwavering support.
