R.J. Pase for Waco City Council DIII I want to be your next voice on the Waco City Council for District III!

Good morning.

I have good news and bad news.

Good- I started a new job opportunity.

Bad- I have decided to turn my complete focus to that and will not file to run this May.

I was eager to throw my hat into the ring for the Waco City Council. I truly hope someone else files to run so this race doesn’t go uncontested. (That’s a pet peeve of mine.)

I plan on in the future to dedicate time and efforts for the city and school district I reside in but for now I have to make the choice to do what’s best for my family.

Thank you.

Got our tax bill in the mail this weekend.

It’s my hope that in two year’s time* it’ll be less. I know just electing me won’t get the job fully done, but it’s a step in the right direction.

*I say two years because the 25-26 budget is already adopted through September of next year.

Sharing again my ideas for the city council. I know that it was too little too late for this upcoming fiscal year, but I hope my words didn’t fall on deaf ears and they strongly consider my ideas.

09/03/2025

Here are my ideas I shared with the City Council last night.
I hope to achieve one goal of three options:

- Lower the tax rate to the no new revenue rate
- Raise the homestead exemption
- Both

Listen in on my thoughts below and I plan on expanding on these ideas in the near future.

I’m only given 3 minutes to speak so I didn’t get to say all I wanted but I was told video should be made available in the next 1-2 days. I plan on sharing my speaking portion once I see that it’s up!

09/02/2025

Still time to come and sign up to speak about the proposed budget/tax rate. I’ve submitted my name and plan on utilizing all 3 minutes that I am allotted!

08/28/2025

IMPORTANT: The next City Council Meeting is 9/2 at 6 PM. There will be the first public hearing about the proposed tax rate. I plan on being there to speak. I wanted to share with y’all in case anyone wanted to come speak as well.

Good morning.

I saw via the Waco Tribune-Herald that someone has announced they are running for Waco City Council District III.

I would like to say I intend on running for that seat, as well. I still need to file my campaign treasurer appointment and whatnot.

I have some ideas to help ease the burden on homeowners and will share those throughout the campaign.

I know I haven’t been a Wacoan for long, but I hope that doesn’t deter people from voting for me. I hope what I plan to accomplish will be the biggest deciding factor!

Lastly, I plan to be active on this page with posts and town halls to hear feedback from my fellow DIII residents. If elected, I would love to keep those going to in order to stay in touch with residents.

Let me be your voice on the council and fight to help everyone out!

Thank you and talk to you again soon!
