Out of 11,000 HUSD elementary students, one Cypress Cyclone stood out above the rest for the District Student of the Month. All school sites nominate one student, and out of all the nominees across the district, they chose ours! This student was selected for their academic excellence, dedication on the basketball court with our Cypress Basketball team, their leadership skills in ASB, their genuine kindness, and their impeccable character as a respectable citizen of our school community--we are honored to present the Hesperia Unified School District Elementary Student of the Month Award to our very own, Brooklyn Rader!!🎉

The Hesperia Branch Library is excited to present the Summer Reading Program: Catch the Wave! It's a free, fun and entertaining program where all ages are encouraged to read for rewards. In doing this the children will retain the reading skills attained during the school year and be more prepared to start school in August. In addition, the program reinforces the library’s place in the community, a place where children can enjoy themselves and gain a lifelong love of reading and learning.

We wanted to take a moment to recognize and commend the incredible sportsmanship displayed by the Cypress Lady Cyclones Basketball Team during their game tonight against the Joshua Circle Lady Bulldogs Basketball Team .

The respect, kindness, and encouragement shown by the players and coaches were truly amazing and heartwarming to witness. Throughout the game, the Cypress Lady Cyclones continuously cheered for the Joshua Circle players, encouraged them to do their best, and celebrated in a respectful and positive manner. Their actions reflected the true meaning of athletics, character, and leadership.

In today’s world, it is especially meaningful to see student athletes demonstrate such compassion, humility, and class both on and off the court. The coaches should be proud of the culture they have built within their program, and the players deserve recognition for representing their school and community with excellence.

It was a beautiful thing to watch, and we felt it was important to share how impactful their sportsmanship was to everyone in attendance. Please extend our appreciation and congratulations to the entire team and coaching staff for exemplifying what educational athletics should look like.

Congratulations to all students with perfect attendance for the entire 4th quarter! We’ve got balloon artists, caricature artists 👩🏻‍🎨, a face painter🎨, a magician🪄tons of games, prizes, and classic carnival treats🍧🍿. All for the price of perfect attendance (aka free!) Way to go Cyclones!!🌪️

TOMORROW is the deadline to update your child's Digital Emergency Card (DEC) previously known as OLR. The DEC is our way of getting ahold of you in case of an emergency and needs to be updated every year. ALL students who have their DEC updated by tomorrow, May 20th, will receive FREE Kona Ice on Thursday May 21st.
