Congratulations to our very own Mr. Joseph Crawley on being named Citrus County Schools’ 2025-2026 Adult Volunteer of the Year! 🎉

For the past six years, Mr. Crawley has generously shared his time, talents, and passion for learning with the students and staff of Hernando Elementary. His engaging science lessons spark curiosity, inspire young minds, and make learning come alive. More than a volunteer, Mr. Crawley is a mentor, a friend, and an invaluable part of our Hornet family.

Citrus County Schools is proud to offer the Summer Feeding Program throughout June and July, providing FREE breakfast and lunch to all children 18 years old and younger.

💲 No cost for children 18 and under

⚠️ Please note: All meals must be consumed on site in accordance with Summer Feeding Program guidelines.

In Dr. T’s first grade class, students have the opportunity to practice reading by reading UFLI passages. 10 passages read = 1 silly pictures on the UFLI buzz board. Her class read over a 1,000 UFLI passages this year!!!
