K9 Officer Moore attended the MLEOA 2026 summer conference in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi.

Over the past week, K9 teams from across the state trained together and competed in multiple competitions 🐾

Out of 30 K9 teams, K9 Szabi and Officer Moore placed 1st in vehicle narcotic detection!

A Fresh Look for Our Emergency Communications Division!

At the Hernando Police Department, we believe our team deserves a workspace that matches their commitment to the community. We are excited to share that our communications center has officially completed its remodel!

Thanks to the LEO Grant Program through the Mississippi Department of Public Safety and the support of the Hernando Board of Aldermen, our dispatchers now have a renovated, updated space designed to support them in their critical roles.

From the initial transition on April 13th to our official move-in on May 11th, this project was a true team effort. A big thank you to everyone involved in making this upgrade possible. We look forward to continuing to serve you from our improved facility!
