⚾️ MCAR Day Program Trip to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers ⚾️

On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the MCAR Day Program organized another exciting trip to see the Mahoning Valley Scrappers! This year, we had over 130 individuals and staff attend the game.

Although it was a hot day at the ballpark, everyone had a fantastic time cheering on the Scrappers as they earned a victory! 🎉

Adding to the excitement, two of our individuals entered a drawing and won amazing Chinese auction baskets. Congratulations to our lucky winners!

Everyone also enjoyed the all-you-can-eat tickets provided to staff and individuals. Favorite ballpark foods included cheeseburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches, nachos, and much more! 🌭🍔

These outings create new experiences and lasting memories for all who attend. The day was filled with laughter, cheering, excitement, and great company.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this trip such a memorable success. It was truly one for the books, and we are already looking forward to next year! ⚾️❤️

On Thursday, June 11th, staff members Mona and Amber, along with individuals Mike and Bob, had the opportunity to enjoy a special road trip together!

Our MCAR family loves being part of the community, and we have been fortunate enough to follow the Sharon Tigers Softball Team throughout their incredible season as they battled their way to the Championship game at Penn State Main Campus. While the outcome wasn't what we had all hoped for, Mona, Amber, Mike, and Bob had an absolute blast supporting the team and making unforgettable memories along the way.

The adventure started with a lunch stop at Raising Cane's, where everyone filled their bellies with some delicious food before heading to the game. Once there, they joined the rest of the Sharon community in cheering on the Tigers and celebrating an amazing season.

After the game, the group made a stop at the famous Penn State Berkey Creamery. While there, they had the exciting opportunity to run into members of the Sharon Softball Team and even snapped a quick photo with Head Coach Wade Vogan! They enjoyed some ice cream, shared in the team's excitement, and then began the journey home.

But the fun didn't stop there! Since Mike and Bob had never been to Ruby Tuesday before, they made one last pit stop for dinner and the chance to try something new. From steaks and burgers to other tasty menu favorites, everyone enjoyed a great meal and another memorable experience together.

It is truly rewarding to see our caring and selfless staff so happy and excited to be part of the unforgettable memories that Mike and Bob continue to make. Days like these remind us how important community, friendship, and shared experiences are.

Congratulations to the Sharon Tigers Softball Team on an outstanding season! We are proud to support our community and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of these talented young athletes. ❤️🖤🥎

After designing their pizzas, everyone enjoyed cooking them together and sharing a delicious meal as a group. It was a wonderful experience that allowed our individuals to participate in something unique and out of the ordinary while building creativity, independence, and social connections.
A great time was had by all!
