Tonight, we had the privilege of providing standby coverage for the Farrell 9/11 Stair Climb.

It was an incredibly moving event, and it was amazing to see such a great turnout from our community. Watching people come together, push one another through every step, and take time to remember the lives lost and the sacrifices made 25 years ago was something we were truly honored to be a part of.

We had off duty McGonigle team members participating in the climb, others who were there serving with their fire departments, and even our standby crew found themselves pulled in by participants and walking the stairs at least once.

For a night centered around remembering, honoring, and never forgetting, we are grateful that we had the opportunity to stand alongside our fellow first responders, friends, and community.

We would also like to thank Mr. Harrison for some of these incredible photos.

We remember.

We remember the nearly 3,000 people who never made it home. We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and countless other first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away. And we remember the families, friends, coworkers, and communities who were left behind.

But we also remember something else about that day and the days that followed; how we came together.

Things that divided us seemed small. We stood beside strangers. Neighbors helped neighbors. We checked on one another. Flags flew proudly across our communities. First responders from every corner of the country stood shoulder to shoulder, united by a common purpose: to serve, to help, and to protect.

In the face of unimaginable loss, we were reminded of the strength that comes from standing together.

25 years later, that is a lesson worth carrying with us.

Today, we stand and pause with our fellow first responders as we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We remember every life lost, every family affected, and every person whose courage and service helped carry our nation through one of its darkest days.

We remember their lives.
We honor their sacrifice.
We carry their memory forward.

We will never forget.

While we don’t make a habit of picking favorite patients, today we’re making an exception. Meet our favorite “paw-tient” of the day. 😉🐾

One of our team members, EMT Cody, had a very important responsibility today at the scene of an MVA: keep this little lady safe, comfortable, and checked her over while our other team members on scene cared for the others involved.

Cody absolutely excelled at the assignment. He gave her plenty of extra cuddles and belly rubs and, in the process, made a new best friend. 🐶

Our new four legged bestie is safe and sound.. PLUS, was even wearing her own special seatbelt! 🧡 🚑

We may have failed at getting a picture this year before the Buhl Day Parade today… but we definitely didn’t fail at having a great time! 🧡🚑🍬

A huge thank you to our team members and their families who came out for another great year to help with the parade, walk alongside us, and pass out candy! We always have such a fun time! We loved seeing so many familiar faces along the way this year, while also getting to make some new friends!

We hope everyone had a fun and safe Labor Day, soaking up as much of that summer sun as we can before fall comes in full swing!

This year, we wanted Breast Cancer Awareness shirts that did more than spread awareness. We wanted them to give back to someone right here in our community.

100% of the proceeds from these shirts will be donated directly to a local individual battling breast cancer to help provide financial support during their fight.

🚨 IMPORTANT: THIS IS A PRESALE! 🚨

All shirts will be made after the order period closes.

• Orders close Saturday, September 19th!

At checkout, you’ll have the option to choose station pickup or shipping.

- Station Pickup: Choose pickup at checkout and we’ll contact you when your shirt arrives to arrange a convenient time for you to pick it up.

- Shipping: Choose shipping at checkout and your shirt will be shipped directly to you. Shipping costs will be added at checkout.

Because these shirts are made to order, all sales are final and we cannot accept returns or exchanges. Please be sure to double check your selections and sizing before completing your order.

We’re also so happy to be working with Steel Valley Apparel Company LLC to bring our idea to life! They created our design and will be making the shirts for us locally! Along with being a local business, Steel Valley Apparel is also owned by a fellow first responder, which makes this partnership even more special to us.

And yes… there is NO AI in these designs! Everything was thoughtfully created by a human and will be hand printed, from the original design to the finished shirt.

Order yours today, wear your support, and help us remind someone in our community that no one fights alone. 🩷 🚑 🥊

More than a decade ago, Paramedic, Rob H., hung a drawing in his locker that his son, Robbie, had made for him.

It was a simple drawing of an ambulance, made by a young Robbie for his dad. But it meant enough to Rob that he kept it in his locker year after year, for more than a decade.

Robbie grew up around McGonigle Ambulance. The station, the ambulances and the people who have been such a big part of his dad’s life have always been a familiar part of his own.

Today, Robbie is part of that same McGonigle team, just beginning his journey as a dispatcher.

Then, the other morning, we noticed a new ambulance drawn on one of our whiteboards.

Robbie had drawn it.

Rob recognized it right away and remembered the drawing he had kept in his locker all those years.

So, after more than a decade, the original drawing came out of its longtime home and was placed beside Robbie’s new artwork.

And there they were.

Two drawings of a McGonigle ambulance.
More than a decade apart.
Both drawn by Robbie.
Both connected to his dad.

One was made by a son for his dad. The other was made over a decade later by that same son, now working alongside his dad in the EMS world he grew up around.

There was no plan for these two drawings to ever end up together. It just happened.

But standing there and seeing them side by side, it was hard not to appreciate just how special the moment was.

A little drawing that a dad loved enough to keep for more than a decade had somehow found its way beside a new one, made by the same son, right here at the place that has been part of their story all along.

A little drawing. A proud dad. A son who made his own place here. And a pretty special full circle moment.

Most importantly, a reminder that the little moments really do mean the most. 🧡🚑

HELP US FILL AN AMBULANCE & FIGHT HUNGER IN MERCER COUNTY! 🚑🥕

September is Hunger Action Month, and McGonigle Ambulance Service is proud to join the movement alongside the Mercer County Food Bank to help end hunger right here in our community.

📍 WHERE to donate: McGonigle Ambulance Service — Hermitage Station - 1615 E State St
🗓️ WHEN: Anytime throughout September
⏰ BEST TIME: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–4 PM
*** However, we are a 24/7 emergency service, so if those hours don’t work for you, don’t worry; someone is here around the clock!

Throughout September, we’ll be collecting donations with one BIG goal: Fill our donation bins… then fill them again… and again… until we can fill the back of an ambulance completely.

We’ve done it before, and we’re ready to do it again but we need your help!

📚 With children heading back to school, back-to-school and school pantry programs are a huge need right now. The Mercer County Food Bank works to make sure local children have access to the food they need.

Not sure what to donate? We’ve included a flyer with some of the MCFB’s most needed items to give you some ideas. But don’t overthink it; any donation is appreciated, and every item makes a HUGE difference.

Your donations help the Mercer County Food Bank provide food to our neighbors throughout the county, including children, families, veterans, seniors, and others facing food insecurity.

Whether you bring one item or a whole trunk full, every donation gets us one step closer to filling that ambulance and helping those fighting food insecurity.

Want to learn more about the Mercer County Food Bank, the programs they offer, and all the ways they’re helping our neighbors? Visit their page and see the incredible work happening right here in our community.

Let’s take action against hunger this September. Let’s fill those bins. Let’s fill an ambulance. And most importantly, let’s help feed Mercer County. 🧡🥕🚑
