Happy Earth Day!

What a special day we had at Sky Island School. Our students participated in a campus cleanup, planted a native walnut tree and prickly pear cacti, created nature-inspired poetry, and made Earth Day posters.

Most importantly, we took time to connect with nature. It was a day filled with appreciation for the beauty and wonder of the natural world.

Now enrolling for the 2026-2027 school year!
We are now serving Grades K-6, with 6th grade opening for the first time this year.

Our school is intentionally small and focused on hands-on, nature-based learning, where students build confidence, creativity, and real understanding through meaningful experiences.

Kindergarten is currently full with a waitlist.
Enrollment is open now for Grades 1-6.

What an incredible field trip to the Gray Hawk Nature Center! Students gained valuable rattlesnake knowledge and spent meaningful time connecting with nature. They explored the San Pedro River and learned about beavers, turtles, Gila monsters, and many species of snakes.

This was our final field trip of the year, and it was the perfect way to finish strong. Thank you, Sandy and Treven, for an unforgettable experience!

This year, we are growing! Now serving Grades K-6, with our 6th grade opening for the first time.

Our school is intentionally small and designed around hands-on, nature-based learning. Students spend their days exploring, creating, and building real understanding through meaningful experience, not just sitting at desks.

Kindergarten is currently full with a waitlist.
