Historical Museum dedicated to preserving the heritage the Pioneer implanted in Deaf Smith County. The Victorian era E.B. Black House was built in 1909.

We can’t let the day go by without wishing a very Happy Birthday to Rocky Ynfante Salinas! 🎉

Rocky is a big part of the muscle that gets the Jubilee rocking every year. He also works hard to keep the grounds around the museum and the EB Black House looking fresh and well taken care of.

The museum is truly blessed to have him on the team. We appreciate everything you do, Rocky! We hope you had a great birthday! 🎂🎈

Happy Thanksgiving from everyone at the Deaf Smith County Museum!
In observance of the holiday the museum will be closed today November 27th and Friday November 28th. We will resume normal hours on Monday December 1st.

We couldn't let the day get by without wishing board member Chris Powell a very happy birthday! Chris has great ideas and is always ready for the heavy lifting at any of our events. He has been a great asset to the board for the past 3 years!

We want to thank the Hereford Beautification Advisory Board for choosing our beloved EB Black house! The Historical Society board members put so much time and effort into keeping the Black House clean and beautiful and they're doing an amazing job!

Not only did she spend over 30 years inspiring students as a teacher, but she’s also been an invaluable asset to us at DSCHS. She lights up every room, brings so much fun, and is always willing to help with anything. We’re so thankful and blessed to have her on the Historical Board! 💛
Nan still has that unstoppable energy, if you see a blur go by, it’s probably her power walking to her next project! 😄
