At 11:22 am units were toned to a grass fire in the median on HWY 287 at Lonestar Rd. Luckily with a quick response units were able to keep the fire from reaching the creek and getting any bigger. Fire was just over 1 acre. Reminder its a tinder box out there and any spark can cause a fire to spread fast. See smoke call it in.

We are excited to announce that we have been awarded a Tender Grant through the Texas A&M Forest Service.

After months of research and deliberation we have landed on a truck from Niece. This truck will be a 4,000 gallon capacity with the capabilities to pump and roll. It will come with a in cab controlled monitor, and 2 front bumper nozzles. This grant covers $300,000 of the build and we will have to cover roughly $40,000 of the build ourselves.

We are supper excited about this truck as it will double our water carrying capabilities. We will be have a new and exciting t-shirt sale coming that will go towards this build. If all goes well we should have the truck by the first of the year.

As always thank you so much for your unwavering support of our department! Without you we couldn't do any of this. Thank you and God bless.

The picture below is similar to what our truck will be but not yellow.
