A renowned muralist and Henrico High School graduate teamed up with some current Warriors to transform the walls of a classroom at Henrico!

Emily Herr's murals have been seen and enjoyed across Henrico, Richmond, the U.S. and the world, and she recently gave back to her alma mater in the form of a "community chaos" mural set in the classroom of her former English teacher, Keith Hollowell.

Dozens of Hollowell's current students were tasked to insert their own individuality and creativity into a collage of different colors and ideas. All of these contrasting additions were brought together by Herr's final layer on top that frames everything into one chaotic but cohesive work of art that celebrates all of the Henrico High School community.

The Henrico School Board will hold a meeting 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the New Bridge Learning Center auditorium (5915 Nine Mile Road).

There will be a public forum during the monthly meeting for interested citizens to address the Board in person on any matter of concern about the school division. You can register to speak through 4:30 p.m. Wednesday via our online form or by calling the School Board clerk at 804-652-3837.

Kindergarten registration for the 2026-27 school year is open for Henrico children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 30! Families can begin the process online — submitting required documents such as the enrollment form and health information form — at https://www.henricoschools.us/page/registration-enrollment-2026-2027.
