***Burn Ban in Effect for Kingfisher County***

Effective October 15, 2024, Kingfisher County has been placed under a burn ban for 14 days. At the end of the 14 days, the county commissioners will decide if the burn ban will be extended or lifted.

During this time, ALL outdoor burning and activities that could spark a fire are prohibited.

Per Title 2 § 2-16-26.B.1-10, outlines if a person is caught during the burn ban resolution passed by the county commissioners, the said individual shall be subject to a fine of not more than $500.00.

Anyone having relatives or any interest in the Cimarron Valley Cemetery at Lacy should attend our annual meeting at 10 AM on May 11 at the Lacy community center. 
The cemetery is mowed and maintained through the summer and receives numerous compliments for its
appearance. The cemetery is maintained entirely by donations. Our donations have decreased as people become permanent residents in the cemetery and their families have not continued to donate.
The cemetery is a beautiful final resting place for many of the pioneers and residents of the community. The board of directors wants to hear your comments and suggestions. Please plan to attend and help us to plan for the future.

Thank you TEMPE for donating bags of stuffed toys to the Hssy Fire and Police Departments. These toys will be used to give to kids when in a stressful situation to help calm them.
