The Elkins Depot Welcome Center wishes to invite our citizens and visitors to come to the 16th Annual Ramps and Rail Festival and to enjoy live music, take train rides, and purchase creative products and ramp dishes.
Schedule:
10:00am - 4:00pm: Food & craft vendors open
10:00am: Announcements and introductions
11:00am and 1:00pm: Train rides depart (see mountainrailwv.com for tickets)
11:00am - 3:30pm: Live music and entertainment
11:00am - 1:00pm: Perfect Third (Tiffany, Joel, & Seth)
1:30pm - 3:30pm: The Lucky Devils
4:00pm: Presentation of award plaques
In 2009, the Elkins Depot Welcome Center CVB, Inc. created the Ramps & Rail Festival that celebrates the wild ramps and trains for which this area is historically known.
The festival allows non-profit and for-profit groups to prepare ramp-infused dishes which they may sell to the public at a modest profit to help fund their respective projects. Crafters showcasing their unique items also participate and add extra festival flair. The public has the opportunity to vote for their favorite food and craft vendors. Ramp Festival plaques are awarded to the winners.
Admission to the festival is free, and prices vary according to the vendor.
