JUNE BREAKFAST MEETING

Sumner County Historian Kenneth C. Thomson, Jr. will speak about the history of Sumner County and our ties to America's early days as we approach our country's 250th Anniversary!

Mr. Thomson's roots run deep in Middle Tennessee. His family has resided in Sumner and Davidson Counties since 1780. He graduated from Cumberland University and Austin Peay State University with degrees in history. Mr. Thomson helped organize the Sumner County Historical Society in 1975 and has served as President of that organization as well as Chairperson of the Gallatin Historical Commission. He is a member of the Andrew Jackson Foundation as well as the Sons of the American Revolution due to the service of his ancestor, Colonel John Donelson, in the Revolutionary War. Mr. Thomson is also a retired antiques dealer and appraiser.

A delicious buffet breakfast will be available for $10, and don't forget, anyone under 25 eats for free! Bring your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews for a free breakfast and to learn about Sumner County's links to our country's founding!
