“Can I use a drone to scout or hunt?” is a question we are hearing more and more often.

After the passage of legislation in October 2025 (301 KAR 3:140), Kentucky joined a long list of states regulating the use of unmanned aircraft (i.e., drones) by hunters and anglers.

To help our hunters and anglers navigate this new territory, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife has compiled a Q&A answering questions you may have this season and beyond.

On Saturday, the Goatee family experienced a devastating house fire that left their home a complete loss. Thankfully, everyone was able to get out safely, though one family member was taken to the hospital.

HCCO is honored to serve as the recipient of donations for the Goatee Family Relief Fund. We have established this fund to help the family begin rebuilding and navigating the difficult days ahead.

If you would like to help, 100% of donations collected through this relief fund will go directly to supporting the Goatee family.
