It has been a busy and exciting weekend for the Mercy Air team.

Welcome Mercy Air 51 to our program!

We are grateful for the opportunity to increase and enhance our services for S. Nevada and neighboring states, by introducing our first fixed wing base.

We frequently do long transports into Pheonix and Southern California and, unfortunately, have to turn down some requests as the capacity to hold fuel and oxygen in a helicopter is significantly less than an airplane.

Bringing Mercy Air 51 into our family adds balance to our program and we couldnt be more excited.

Thank you to our community partners that helped us complete our first transport just minutes after opening this morning!

Congratulations to Nicholas Enos, Flight Paramedic, of Mercy Air Nevada! Nick was nominated as a due to his commitment to leading two air medical bases in Pahrump for many years. Nicholas is an expert at navigating a very dynamic and challenging rural environment and ensuring that the bases have the right staff, culture, safe base operations and can-do attitude to serve the residents and healthcare facilities of Pahrump. Congratulations to Flight Paramedic, Carlos Fonseca, of Mercy Air Nevada! Carlos was chosen as a 2023 due to his commitment to community and partnership outreach. Carlos is well known within the Las Vegas community by first responders and helps set up dozens of landing zone and other training events throughout the year with his company's partners. These training events ensure that when multiple agencies all need to work together on one scene, we already have the tools and communication in place to effectively get the job done and provide the best care possible to the patient.
