Attention: City Park crews have recently seeded the soccer field to restore the turf. As shown below, the area has been clearly marked with cones and tape for visibility.

Please avoid using this section of the field until further notice to allow the grass to properly grow and recover.

We are sad to announce that the splash pad will be closing for the season on Monday. Use this weekend to enjoy the waterworks one more time before Spring.

Thanks to the hard work of the park staff and Public Works staff the barricades, extra gravel, and caution tape have been removed and the new playground and splash pad are open and ready for everyone to enjoy.

Improvements at Gene Record Memorial Park are continuing. The contractor is landscaping and laying sod at the new playground and pavilion next to our splash pad. Due to the new sod, we must run irrigation in the area. This will result in a very wet sod that, if walked on, will be destroyed.

Therefore, to protect the new improvements, we must close the entire North end of the park, including the Splash Pad. Please respect the 'Do Not Enter' signs and keep children out of the area. We will reopen that area as quickly as possible. Thank you in advance for your patience.

The Clayton Family Playground, Walking Trails, Farmers' Market, and Dog Park remain open for your enjoyment.

If you see anyone in the closed area causing damage, please report it to the Henderson Police Department. Included are photos of the closed area.
