Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1076 is a certified 501(c)(3) charitable organization, located in Henderson, NV. We offer support and assistance to the men and women who have served our country in the U.S. Veterans share the common bond of service to country and community. We feel that it is our duty to help fellow vets who may be experiencing financial difficulties, legal issues or simply
need support to maintain healthy, productive lives. Contributions and donations are critical to our existence as an organization. We are unable to help local veterans without the support of the community. All proceeds collected from our efforts fund the following services:
- Interment ceremonies for indigent veterans at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery located in Boulder City, NV
- Mentorships, including financial support for veterans in legal proceedings with the Henderson Municipal Court
- Provides morale and financial support to the Nevada State Veterans Home located in Boulder City, NV
- Fund training for four "Service Dogs" annually for veterans battling PTSD and other psychological disorders
- Support the Las Vegas "Stand Down" program, which provides basic everyday needs (like toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving supplies etc.) to indigent veterans
- Provide financial support for Veterans Transition counseling
- Donations to Gold and Blue Star Mothers
- Financially support "Thank a Vet" and "One Hero at a Time" programs and the Veterans Transition Resource Center in North Las Vegas, NV
