This week, we celebrate Assistant Principals’ Week and recognize the incredible impact our assistant principals have on our schools each and every day.

From supporting teachers and building relationships with students to handling the unexpected moments that come with a school day, they are steady leaders who help keep everything moving forward. Their work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt in every classroom.

We are grateful for their leadership, their heart for students, and their commitment to our schools.

Chester County Schools Stakeholders,

Good afternoon. I pray that all Chester County School families are beginning to thaw out with the recent winter storm. Due to continued extremely low temperatures this weekend, damage from the recent precipitation, and difficult driving conditions, Chester County Schools will remain closed for Monday, February 2, and Tuesday, February 3, 2026. The school district will use seven (7) of the ten (10) inclement-weather days available for this closure of the work week. With the expected temperature increases next week, the possibility of returning to school later in the week is possible.

With two additional days of school closures due to the weather, I encourage our students to keep their academic skills sharp by reading daily, practicing math facts, and reviewing recent classroom learning. A little practice goes a long way and helps everyone return to school ready to pick up where we left off. Thank you to our families for your continued support and partnership. Have a great Friday afternoon and keep warm and safe this weekend.

Chester County Schools Stakeholders,

Good morning. I pray that all Chester County School families are weathering this last winter weather storm well. Due to continued extremely low temperatures, power outages affecting several Chester County families, damage from the recent precipitation, and difficult driving conditions, Chester County Schools will remain closed for the entire week (Monday, January 26-Friday, January 30, 2026). The school district will use five (5) of the ten (10) inclement-weather days available for this closure of the work week.

While some may enjoy a break from our normal routine during periods of inclement weather, our commitment to learning remains strong—even when school buildings are closed. I encourage our students and families to stay connected to recent classroom learning throughout this week by reading daily, practicing foundational skills, and engaging in any optional learning activities provided by teachers. Chester County teachers have worked hard to provide high-quality lessons to ensure all students have the opportunity to learn well.

Completing good reps of continued learning helps maintain momentum and makes the transition back to school smoother for everyone. Most importantly, they reinforce the message that learning doesn’t stop when the weather turns cold.

Thanks to our local workers and leaders for ensuring that Chester County Schools will return to normal operations very soon. Thank you, CC Families, for your continued support, flexibility, and partnership as we work together to ensure our students remain engaged, growing, and prepared for success—no matter the conditions outside.
