Join us as we unleash the wild side of education, teaching our guests all about our amazing animals and the art of conservation! Many of the animals we care for are rescues, pet surrenders, or animals that otherwise need a comfortable, safe place to live out their lives. We strive to educate guests about our animals and how they can take part in conservation efforts for animals in the wild. The Li

on Habitat Ranch also actively contributes to conservation efforts for both lions and giraffe. We are open Thursday through Monday from 11am-3pm in the winter and from 10am-2pm in the summer. https://lionhabitatranch.org/product/general-admission/

If you would like a more personal experience, we do have Behind the Scenes tours available. This is a guided tour with one of our knowledgeable keepers early in the morning before we open to the public. https://lionhabitatranch.org/product/behind-the-scenes-tour/

We also offer educational field trips from 9am-10am during summer hours and from 10am-11am during winter hours. This is a guided field trip with one of our knowledgeable keepers. 🔎Participate in our scavenger hunt or complete coloring pages to learn more about parrots and receive small prizes!
🎟Get tickets for our raffles to win prizes like parrot artwork, Lion Habitat Ranch merch, and more! Proceeds will go to World Parrot Trust , an organization that does amazing work to protect parrots in the wild, educate the public, and improve the ways parrots are cared for in human care!

❤We're close to our World Parrot Day celebration at the Lion Habitat Ranch to raise awareness of the struggles parrots are facing worldwide and to raise money for parrot conservation. Be sure to join us May 30th and 31st from 10am-2pm, last admission at 1pm! Our World Parrot Day celebration is happening this weekend and we need YOUR HELP to raise money for parrot conservation!

📣We're counting down the days until our World Parrot Day celebration happening THIS WEEKEND, so the parrots are taking over our social media pages all week to help spread awareness on what makes them so special and how we can help protect both wild parrots and those in human care!

❤Meet Rocky the blue and gold macaw! Rocky, like many of our parrots, is a pet surrender. Because parrots are so unique and fascinating, they have become an incredibly popular pet. Unfortunately, this demand means thousands are taken from their native habitats to be sold in the pet trade every year and most captured do not survive the process. Support rescues that help to rehome parrots in need.

Long lifespans and unique needs mean parrots sold as pets don't always receive the proper care they require. It is important to consider how much time, attention, and money is needed to properly care for an animal before committing to getting one as a pet. Thorough research on housing, diets, medical care, and enrichment is essential to caring for any animal.

While videos online can often show the fun side of having a parrot as a companion, it is important to note that they can be incredibly loud, messy, destructive, and usually require your full attention. It definitely takes the right kind of people to care for these special birds!

🦁📣Join us for Roar for Resilience TODAY from 10am–2pm (last admission at 1pm) as we partner with Henderson Libraries to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month with a special focus on children’s mental health!

This uplifting event will feature kid‑friendly activities designed to help children explore their strengths, build confidence, and learn about healthy emotional support in a fun, lion‑themed way. Guests can participate in creative reflection activities, including a “Lion Strength” project and “I am brave like a lion because…” activities.
Families can also enjoy story time, gentle educational moments, and opportunities to learn about emotional wellbeing while visiting the lions and other animals who call the ranch home.

We look forward to roaring for resilience together and creating a supportive, empowering day for kids and families.

Want more reason to join? The first 20 guests to present their Henderson Libraries card will get FREE ADMISSION to the Ranch during this event! This can be the physical OR digital version of the card but make sure it is for Henderson Libraries- Clark County cards DO NOT count! Grab your card and arrive early to claim your free spot! (Adults that receive free admission can still get a free kid's ticket ages 14 and under included!)

Tickets will follow normal pricing:
