Nearly every week I get calls from desperate parents looking for help to deal with the complex behaviors of their hurting children. Hundreds of thousands of children have suffered the horrible effects of early childhood trauma--from abuse, neglect, abandonment or medical needs. Most are simply looking for a path forward across the treacherous terrain of life. Finding their way is definitely not easy; but it is possible by God's grace. Grace Children's Home is developing a training program to help parents, grandparents, teachers and caregivers to understand what kids need and how to provide it. The Grace Children's Home Equine Therapy program is growing assisting over 300 children a year!

Thank you to our amazing volunteers and supporters for the arena work. The sand and leveling are a great improvement! We are on track for 500 equine therapy sessions in 2024. Praise God. Jay Goertzen, Ron Goertzen, Matthew Hiebner, Justin Goertzen.

Ask any foster parent. Seriously, ask them about their journey. Hear about the ups and downs, the unexpected joys and pains. And then ask them whether it was worth it. We’re confident that the families who step into this mission tend to echo one foster mom who said, “It’s one of the hardest but also the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.”

Psalm 27:1 says, "The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?"

Foster care can be a scary journey. Plain and simple.

In many ways, it's a daily journey into the unknown.

But it is a journey we don't walk alone.

Instead, it's a journey with the One who says, "Cast all your anxiety on me because I care for you."

The One who says, "You are not alone."

The One who says, "Fear not, for I am with you."

Fear doesn't stand a chance.

My friends, foster care will cost you everything. Things you didn’t even imagine until you got knee deep in it. Why would anyone so willingly sign up for this? Because the children are so incredibly worth it.

But this is also why I stress the importance of the community stepping up & helping foster families. We can’t do it alone, but together, we can make a difference in a child’s life.
