On Friday, we replaced our oldest unit after more than 20 years of service. Our new-to-us vehicle, a 2014 Ram 2500 4x4 (Rescue 1), has already been hard at work—providing access to warming centers and assisting our citizens since 6:00 a.m. Saturday.
As we continue operations tonight, we want to extend our sincere thanks to all our volunteers and Chester County Fire Dept for their dedication and support to the community over the past several days. Everyone has done an outstanding job working together as a team.

Thanks to the City of Henderson and Mayor Bell for the coordination of the warming center.
I'm sure I missed someone but just know they are working hard with little sleep.

With that being said we are under an Extreme Cold Warning until noon tomorrow. We will see 0 or less lows and windchill factors of -16 degrees which can cause hypothermia and frostbite if exposed for even a short period of time. Check on your neighbors from time to time and be sure to have a heat source that is safe. Pray for these I mentioned that they stay safe as they work to restore our quality of life that we sometimes take for granted. Please use caution around any trees or powerlines as they have the weight of the ice on them, they can snap and fall on you at any moment. This is a deadly situation that has hit our area.

The Chester County Rescue Squad is pleased to announce the transfer of a rescue truck to the City of Enville Fire Department. This expansion will strengthen county-wide coverage and improve response times for our citizens.

We have an automatic aid agreement between the Chester County Rescue Squad and the Enville Fire Department that ensures both agencies will be dispatched to vehicle accidents and rescue emergencies within Chester County.

In addition, both departments will conduct joint training exercises to maintain the highest standards of skill, safety, and professionalism.

We remain committed to providing the best possible service to the people of Chester County through preparedness, training, and dedication.

There are no winners when it comes to speeding. It wastes more gas, lowers vehicle control, reduces the effectiveness of seat belts, and puts everyone on the road in danger.
