For our high school parents, teachers, and administrators, we want to share that the College Board has released the 2026-2027 Common App essay prompts for the upcoming application season. They are the same prompts as last year, and having this information now can help students plan, giving them extra time to draft and revise those ever-important essays. If your student seeks assistance planning, drafting, or revising their application essays and/or extracurriculars, we can help!

The Common App essay prompts offer a flexible range of topics to help students distinguish themselves in their own voice. During the most recent cycle, the most popular option was "Topic of Your Choice."
