Hard Work Pays Off!

There are many valuable lessons that young people must learn throughout their lives, and one of the most important is that hard work pays off.
Today, while patrolling Sabine County, Sheriff George Griffith met a young man who is already putting that lesson into practice. Kainan Ellison was standing outside of Cut n Time in the Texas heat selling his home-grown vegetables.
Sheriff Griffith was impressed by Kainan's work ethic, initiative, and determination. As a show of support and encouragement, the Sheriff purchased all of the vegetables Kainan had for sale.
Kainan was grateful for the gesture and expressed his appreciation, though he certainly did not expect such generosity. Sheriff Griffith took the opportunity to commend Kainan for his dedication and to encourage him to continue working hard toward his goals.
Young people like Kainan Ellison represent the values that make our community strong. His willingness to work hard and take pride in earning what he wants serves as an excellent example for others to follow.
After leaving Kainan’s stand Sheriff Griffith decided to pay it forward and donate all of the vegetables to various residents of Sabine County. Congratulations, Kainan, and keep up the outstanding work. Sabine County is proud of you.
