June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month
This month, DETD recognizes Montanans impacted by Alzheimer’s and other brain health conditions. Healthy brain function supports learning, independence, and success in the workplace—core parts of our mission.
We encourage everyone to stay connected to services, maintain healthy routines, and explore resources that support long-term brain wellness.
Thank you to the caregivers, professionals, and community partners who help Montanans thrive.
Together, we can strengthen brain health awareness across our state.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day

Today we’re shining a light on digital accessibility, because everyone should be able to use websites, apps, and technology with ease.

Simple steps like adding captions, improving contrast, or ensuring screen reader compatibility help more Montanans fully participate in school, work, and community life.

At the Disability Employment and Transitions Division, we’re committed to removing digital barriers and supporting technology that works for everyone.

Let’s make accessibility a priority, today and every day.

Myth: Talking about disability is uncomfortable, so it’s better not to say anything.
Fact: Disability is a natural part of the human experience. Creating open, respectful conversations helps reduce stigma and builds stronger, more informed communities.

Montanans with disabilities bring talent, creativity, and value to every corner of our state.
