CASA of Lewis & Clark and Broadwater Counties is a nonprofit organization serving children who have experienced abuse and/or neglect. CASA staff members train volunteer advocates to work on behalf of vulnerable children in the court system. Advocates are then appointed by judges to serve as CASAs -Court Appointed Special Advocates. These advocates speak out for the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes. CASAs interview parents, teachers, foster families, counselors, and the child. Judges are then able to make more informed decisions about what is in the best interests of the child. A CASA's goals are to find each child a safe and permanent home, give them a voice, and advocate for their safety and needs. Children with CASA advocates are likely to spend less time in foster care, are less likely to be bounced from home to home, and do better in school. They are half as likely to re-enter foster care.

Your generosity is making a very real difference for children in foster care in our communities. The beautiful duffle bags you provided are filled with thoughtful items—a cozy blanket and pillow, crafts, a toothbrush and toothpaste, and a water bottle.

For a child entering foster care, having a bag filled with things that are theirs can provide comfort, security, and a little sense of normalcy during what may be a very difficult time.

Thank you for thinking of these children, for caring about their needs, and for showing them that their community is standing beside them. Your kindness will be felt by a child when they need it most. 💙

🎉 A Huge Congratulations to Our Advocate Supervisor! 🎉

We are thrilled to celebrate our Advocate Supervisor, Carlyn, who has officially completed her CASA training and graduated! 💙

A CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer is often the one consistent adult a child can count on. While everything around them may be changing, their CASA Advocate remains a steady, caring presence—someone who listens, shows up, and speaks up for what is in the child's best interests.

You don't need to have all the answers. You don't need a background in law or social work. You simply need compassion, commitment, and the willingness to make a difference.
