Mission

The Marine Corps Recruiting Command conducts operations to recruit qualified individuals for enlistment or commissioning into the United States Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve to attain assigned Total Force personnel requirements by component and category in accordance with applicable Fiscal Year Marine Corps Accessions Strategy (Manpower Accessions Plan Memoranda) and the Military

Personnel Procurement Manual, and as directed by the Commandant of the Marine Corps. The legacy of the Marine Corps is to “Make Marines, Win Battles, and Return Quality Citizens.” Citizens, once transformed, will be Marines for life. As such, we are dedicated to recruiting high quality men and women of character to meet the needs of our Corps and the nation and who are representative of the people we serve. We are known for our high standards, strong work ethic, and commitment to work as a team to accomplish the mission. Enlisted Recruiting

Our mission is to seek out and find the highest quality young men and women to take up the challenge to earn the title of a United States Marine. In order to continue maintaining the high Marine Corps and Department of Defense quality standards and attain a diverse entry-level population representative of national demographics, we strive to enlist only the best and the brightest youth of America. We seek individuals who are mentally, morally and physically qualified to be transformed into Marines and foster our “Elite Warrior” culture. Each applicant must embrace our Core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. This philosophy is our ethos. The Marine Corps offers a wide variety of enlistment programs from aviation electronics to infantry, and we offer qualified men and women the opportunity to see if they have what it takes to earn the title of Marine. In turn, we imbue young people with traits that will help make them successful throughout their lives, such as leadership, a strong sense of teamwork, dedication, and sound decision-making skills -- traits that any future employer will find valuable. We also understand that recruiting and retaining a diverse force is vital to the success of the Corps, both today and tomorrow. Maintaining a Marine Corps that is representative of the society it protects remains a priority for our Corps.

Everyday I hear it: I have to think about it. I have to pray about it. I will know when I'm ready. I'll join if there is a war.

The wildest thing I have heard while serving as a Marine Recruiter is " I'll go to college first and then get a job"...
For some that might work but reality is that job your going after is going to require more then just a degree. 💯
Being able to still get your degree and being able to have a career field talks alot better on your resume. 👌👌👌
While YOU sacrifice years of your life to wind up in debt. Others take on the CHALLENGE that benefits their futures. 🔥

Have you ever thought about being a mechanic? Within the marines we have dozens of mechanical jobs whether it be working on seven ton trucks, or fixed winged and rotary winged air craft. We will give you the skills through courses and schools that will carry over outside the military where you can start gaining your experience at an entry level job while gaining college credits and your degree to make yourself competitive for when you decide to make your transition out of the military. Too many times I hear people say “I’d join the Marines but I heard it’s too challenging and I’m afraid I won’t make it”
With that being said, if joining the Marine Corps wasn’t challenging then I’m 100% sure that everyone would be a Marine. The challenge is what makes it worth it!! The challenge is what makes you proud to say I’m a United States MARINE for the rest of your life!!! There’s a reason only .01% of Americans join this brotherhood.
